Tahoe Conservatory of Music

Welcome to the Tahoe Conservatory of Music. TCM was established in 1996 with the sole purpose of developing a new generation of artists by cultivating their love of music and the ability to perform it. Our experienced instructors individually-tailor lessons to meet the needs of musicians of all ages and levels. TCM's Kings Beach and Truckee locations serve as Tahoe's only schools of music.

Our curriculum includes:

violin / viola / cello / orchestral bass (strings)

flute / recorder / clarinet / saxophone (woodwinds)

trumpet / trombone / French horn / tuba (brass)

percussion

Due to major cutbacks in funding of public school music programs, it is more difficult for children to have the opportunity to explore and experience music. Of equal importance is the need to provide adults, who comprise a major portion of TCM's enrollment, with a music program that will fulfill their personal goals.

TCM provides a great way for children and adults in the Tahoe-Truckee area to experience music with affordable tuition, a professional staff, and two convenient locations. We use the latest technology along with exciting music books to create a curriculum that is stimulating and enjoyable for the newest generation of musical artists. It is our philosophy to understand what motivates each student to seek music education and to enhance that motivation with an individually tailored program.
